Integrated Neighbourhood Teams

INTs bring different organisations together around a person’s needs, while keeping the right roles, responsibilities and access controls in place.

But INTs need more than a shared name or regular meeting. They need practical ways for local partners to work together safely, productively and at scale.

That means connected referral routes, clear task ownership, secure information flow and shared visibility across organisations.

When information does not flow, INT working is harder to deliver.

Many services still use systems and processes designed around individual organisations, not shared neighbourhood working.

This can create duplicated referral routes, repeated information gathering, unclear handovers and limited visibility of referrals, actions, next steps and responsibilities.

Teams may still rely on emails, spreadsheets, meetings and phone calls to co-ordinate care. This makes it harder to involve partners safely, consistently and sustainably.

For people, this can mean repeating their story, waiting longer for updates, feeling lost in the system or missing timely community-based support.
